Getting Started with Yesware

Welcome to Yesware! This guide will help you get started with Yesware's powerful sales engagement tools that work directly in your Gmail or Outlook inbox.

What is Yesware?

Yesware is a sales engagement platform that integrates seamlessly with your email client to help you:

  • Track emails to see when recipients open and click your messages
  • Create multi-touch campaigns to automate and personalize your outreach
  • Schedule meetings effortlessly with Meeting Scheduler
  • Track presentations to see engagement on documents you share
  • Sync with Salesforce (Enterprise plans) for complete CRM integration

All of these features work directly within your Gmail or Outlook inbox, so you never have to leave your email client to engage with prospects and customers.

Yesware supports:

  • Gmail (via Chrome Extension)
  • Outlook (Office 365) (via O365 Add-in)

Outlook Compatibility Details

Yesware for Outlook (O365 add-in) is available:

For Windows:

  • On Outlook Web App (http://outlook.office.com/ or http://outlook.live.com/)
  • For the current version of Chrome for Windows 10 or higher
  • For the current version of Microsoft Edge for Windows 10 or higher
  • On Outlook 2016 (Desktop) v16.0 or higher for Windows 10 or higher
    • Your Windows 10 version needs to be 1903 or higher
    • Your Office 365 version needs to be 1905 or higher

For Mac:

PLEASE NOTE: Make sure your Office Update Channel schedule is either:

  • Current
  • Semi-Annual (Targeted)

If you are on a Semi-Annual schedule, you will not receive the most up-to-date version of Yesware.

Installing Yesware for O365

To install the Yesware for O365 add-in, simply visit the Microsoft AppSource and click "Get it Now." Once you've loaded the add-in, you may need to close and re-open Outlook. Like any Microsoft add-in, you'll need to be clicked on an email message for the add-in to appear in your inbox. If you've clicked on an email, you should see a blue Y that appears on the right-hand side of your Outlook ribbon. Clicking on that will open up the Yesware Sidebar, giving you access to Yesware's features.

Unable to install Yesware for O365 from the Office Store? You may not have access or permission to download apps. You can verify with your IT team that you have permission to download apps.

Installing Yesware Add-In on Mac for Outlook

To install the Yesware add-in on Mac for Outlook, please follow these steps:

  1. Compose a new email.
  2. Click on Apps.
  3. Click on Get Add-ins.
  4. Search for Yesware, and click Add.
  5. Open the Sidebar for more features!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Yesware with GoDaddy email addresses?

No, Yesware only supports Gmail and Outlook at this time.

While GoDaddy hosted emails can be used through Microsoft Exchange, the Yesware Outlook Add-in requires a direct, Microsoft O365-hosted email address.

Can I use Yesware for more than one email address?

Yesware is licensed by email address and not by computer or download.

If you are using the same email addresses across different computers, you would need to download the application on that new PC or Mac computer Here and then authenticate using your inbox's log-in credentials.

If you are using different email addresses, each will need their own license. You can add additional licenses to an existing account HERE.

Please Note: Any newly added email addresses will need to have their own log-ins and passwords. Yesware does not work with Alias or 'Send As' addresses.

Can I install Yesware on a shared Mailbox?

Yesware integrates with your email account using Single Sign-On (SSO), which ensures that the add-in works exclusively with the email address you used to sign up for the service.

If you use shared mailboxes, the Yesware add-in may not function as expected when composing or viewing emails. Specifically, the add-in is designed to work only with the primary email address and inbox associated with your Yesware account.

What This Means for Shared Mailbox Users

  • Emails created or opened using a shared mailbox will not be compatible with the Yesware add-in.
  • To use Yesware's features, ensure you are working from the primary email address linked to your Yesware account.

How do I re-install Yesware if I'm getting an add-in error in O365?

If you are receiving the 'Add-in Error' message, follow these steps to reinstall Yesware for Office 365:

In your O365 Inbox:

  • Click 'Get Add-ins' > My add-ins > Yesware - click the 3 dots and select 'Remove'
  • Close Outlook
  • Re-open Outlook
  • Click 'Get Add-ins' > search for Yesware and select 'Add'

Next, within Outlook, please go to "File" > "Office Account" and click on "Office Updates" and in the dropdown select "Update Now". Then close out of Outlook completely and open it back up.

Then, open the Yesware Sidebar again and see if you are still receiving the "Add-In Error" message.

Please make sure to also have the Yesware Sidebar pinned open, within the New/Compose email window.
