Prospector

Yesware Prospector is a lead-generation tool built into the Yesware app that allows you to discover net new contacts using advanced filters. With just a few clicks, you can create fully enriched profiles from your search results using 1 account credit per contact. Prospector and Enrichment credits are available as add-ons to your Yesware plan.

Searching for Prospects​

  • From the Yesware app site, go to the Prospector tab.
  • Use the filter panel to define your search criteria. You must fill in at least one field, but the more filters you use, the more precise your results will be.

Available filters include:

  • Job title
  • Seniority
  • Location
  • Company name
  • Company size
  • Industry
  • Company website
  • Name (Outlook only)

Advanced options also let you limit results to contacts with:

  • A LinkedIn profile
  • A phone number
  • Click Search to generate your results.

Creating Contacts from Prospects​

Once your results appear, you can turn selected prospects into Contacts using available credits. The workflow differs slightly between Gmail and Outlook:

Gmail​

  • Click on Contacts from the left pane.
  • Hit "New Contact" and enter the information. (Each new contact uses 1 credit.)

Outlook​

From the Prospector results page:

  • Check the box next to one or more prospects, or click "Select All."
  • Click "Create Contact." (Each selected contact uses 1 credit.)

Once created, your new contacts will appear in the Contacts tab with a full, enriched profile.

How do I search for prospects?

To initiate your search for new prospects, navigate to the Prospector tab within the Yesware app site.

To start your search for new prospects, you must fill in at least one filter. (Job Title, Seniority, Location, Company Name, Industry, Location, Company Website, and First/Last Name.)

We recommend filling in more than one filter in order to get more targeted results.

Prospector exclusively furnishes results with email addresses, and by default, our advanced settings ensure availability of 'phone numbers' and 'LinkedIn profiles' for these results. You have the option to deselect the last two advanced settings boxes, if desired.

Once you've configured your filters, click on the SEARCH button. The number of results will be displayed in the top right corner, allowing you to proceed with your prospecting efforts.

How do I convert my prospects into contacts?

Yesware allows you to easily convert Prospects into Contacts for further engagement and tracking. The process is nearly identical whether you're using Gmail or Outlook.

Step 1: Select your Prospects

After generating a list of Prospects, check the box next to each Prospect you wish to convert. To select all Prospects on the current page, use the "Select All" option.

Step 2: Create Contacts

Click "Create Contact." Keep in mind: creating 1 contact uses 1 credit, so ensure you have enough credits available in your account before proceeding.

Step 3: View your new Contacts

In Outlook, your new Contacts will appear in your Contacts page.

In Gmail, you can find your Contacts on the Contacts page or via the Gmail Contacts Sidebar tab.
