Notifications
CalendarHero keeps you informed through your preferred platform — whether that's email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams. You can control which platform receives notifications, when briefings are sent, and what they include.
Notification platform
Your default notification platform is where CalendarHero sends scheduling updates, morning briefings, and upcoming meeting alerts. To set it:
- Go to Installed Integrations
- Click the Chat tab
- Click … next to your preferred platform and select Send Notifications Here
If you use the Outlook or Chrome plugin, notifications always default to email — plugins cannot receive chat notifications.
Morning briefings
Every morning your assistant can send a briefing with:
- Today's weather (based on your work location)
- A list of your upcoming meetings
- Status of any pending meeting requests (who has responded, who hasn't)
- A summary of your productivity savings
Set your preferred briefing time in General Meeting Settings. Morning briefings are sent via your default notification platform.
Meeting briefings
One hour before each meeting, your assistant sends a meeting briefing to help you prepare. This includes the meeting details and, if you've connected a CRM or ATS, a direct link to the relevant record (deal, contact, or candidate) in that system.
Turn meeting briefings on or off in Meeting Settings.
Reminders
You can ask your assistant in chat to remind you about anything at a specific time — for example:
- "Remind me to call Roy at 11 am on Tuesday"
- "Remind me to log my time every day at 5:30 pm"
- "Remind me at 2 pm to prepare the NDA for the Monaco deal"
Reminders are added to your calendar and sent via your default notification platform at the specified time. Recurring reminders are supported. To cancel a reminder, go to Active Tasks and click Cancel.
Email footers
Add a custom footer to the automated meeting invite emails your assistant sends on your behalf. Go to My Profile → My Assistant and enter your custom text. Your footer is added after the default email content.
Team admins can set a footer for the whole organization from Admin Settings → Email. An admin-set footer overrides individual user footers.
Frequently asked questions
Can I turn off morning briefings?
Yes. Go to General Meeting Settings and turn off the Daily Briefing toggle, or remove the briefing time.
What's the difference between a morning briefing and a meeting briefing?
A morning briefing is sent once a day at a time you choose and gives an overview of everything coming up. A meeting briefing is sent 1 hour before each individual meeting with the specific details for that meeting.
Can I receive notifications via email if I have Slack connected?
Yes. Your default notification platform determines where notifications go, but you can change it at any time from your Installed Integrations. If you remove or disconnect a chat platform, notifications fall back to email.
Can I get the daily briefing the night before?
No. The earliest available briefing time is 5:00 AM on the same workday. You can set your preferred briefing time in General Meeting Settings.
