Outlook Troubleshooting
If Yesware isn't working as expected in Outlook, start by checking the Yesware status page. Subscribe to updates so you're notified of any ongoing incidents.
If there's no status to explain the issue, contact the Yesware Support Team at support@yesware.com.
Yesware Icons Are Grayed Out
Grayed-out icons typically mean the add-in is inactive or disabled.
In the Outlook toolbar (inbox)
- Single-click an email in your inbox — the Yesware add-in only activates when a message is selected
- Make sure your Reading Pane is set to Right or Bottom (not Off)
- Once the Yesware sidebar appears, click the Pin icon to keep it active
In the compose window
If buttons like Send with Yesware, Add Template, Meeting Scheduler, or Open Yesware are unavailable:
Step 1 — Remove conflicting add-ins
Save your email as a Draft, then close and reopen it. Check for and disable conflicting add-ins such as:
- GlobalMeet, ToDoist, Boomerang, EmailTracker
- Antivirus add-ins (McAfee, Norton, Spyware tools)
Step 2 — Re-authenticate
- Click Yesware in your Outlook toolbar
- In the Sidebar, go to the Menu tab and select Sign Out
- Follow the prompts to reactivate your Yesware account
Step 3 — Reinstall the add-in
- Click Get Add-ins in the top-right corner of Outlook
- Go to My Add-ins
- Find Yesware, click the three dots, and select Remove
- Search for Yesware and re-add it
