OctoTable Integration

Business App integrates with OctoTable so you can connect your account without entering separate API credentials. You only need your OctoTable Property ID to complete the connection.

Requirements: An OctoTable account with RixAPI enabled.

Before you connect​

Enable API access in your OctoTable account before starting the connection in Business App:

  1. Log in to your OctoTable account.
  2. Search for RixAPI.
  3. Enable RixAPI for your account.
  4. Locate your Property ID. You'll need it to complete the connection in Business App.

Set up the OctoTable integration​

  1. In Business App, go to Administration → Integrations → Browse.
  2. Find the OctoTable card and click it.
  3. On the marketing page, click Connect.
  4. Enter your Property ID on the pre-connect form.
  5. Click Add Connection to complete setup.

Do I need a Client ID and Secret to connect OctoTable?

No. Business App uses a shared, pre-configured connection for all OctoTable accounts. You only need to provide your Property ID.

What is RixAPI?

RixAPI is the name OctoTable uses for the API you must enable in your OctoTable account before connecting to Business App.

Where do I find my Property ID?

Your Property ID is available in your OctoTable account after you enable RixAPI. Check your OctoTable account settings to locate it.

Can each location connect its own OctoTable account?

Yes. Each location connects using its own Property ID.
